Block Grounds Maintenance Project in Caterham CR3, Surrey

The Challenge

A block management company required regular grounds maintenance services for a private residential block of flats located in a woodland-surrounded area.

The site was heavily affected by leaf accumulation, litter and fast-growing vegetation, due to surrounding mature trees. Additional concerns included ivy climbing tree trunks, posing potential long-term damage, and weed infestation within lawn areas, particularly near the main entrance.

The Solution

Grass Barbers delivered a fortnightly maintenance programme, focusing on key seasonal and site-specific requirements.

Each visit included litter collection, extensive leaf clearance and lawn mowing, ensuring all areas remained clean and accessible. Shrubs were pruned to clear fence lines, and invasive ivy was cut back from tree trunks to protect tree health.

A PA1/PA6 licensed operative applied selective herbicide treatments to control weeds within lawn areas, preventing further spread.

Collected leaves and debris were removed from site, and final tasks included cleaning and sweeping of bin storage areas to maintain hygiene and presentation standards.
